what is reiki?
Reiki is a complementary healing practice originating in Japan, using the natural universal life energy that flows through all living things. Practitioners use gentle, non-invasive hand positions placed over the major Chakra points in the body to channel this energy, with the intention of promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and supporting the body’s natural healing processes.
It is a place where you can lie down and fully relax into your own body as you are rejuvenated with this universal Reiki energy flowing into your mind and body, clearing away any stress or stagnant energy.
What happens during a session?
Once you first step into the healing space, you will be met with soothing, healing frequencies.
We will sit down and have a small conversation about what you would like to get out of the healing. If there’s any particular areas in your life that are stressful. I meet you where you’re at in life with compassion and non-judgment to allow you to open your heart and feel safe and free.
If you’re new to Reiki, I will explain what I will be doing during the healing fully and will answer any questions you might have.
If there are no more questions, you will be invited to lie down on the table. I will place a blanket over your body, as well as a tissue gently over your eyes. I will then gently place my hands over the major chakra points in the body [For women, I will hover my hands over the heart space and not touch].
Once I’ve gone through each Chakra point, I’ll invite you to slowly ground yourself before sitting up. We will then have another conversation to share anything that you might have felt during the session, as it’s natural for insights to emerge, emotions to release, and just allowing some time to fully come back before heading out.
The healing will continue over the next few days, so I will send a follow-up message to check in and see how you have been going post Reiki session.
